In the Mangystau region, over 200 missing persons were found in the first half of 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional police department, 207 people were located in January-June 2026. Among them, 53 were minors. All found are alive and their health is not in danger.
The press service of the police department said that operational search groups, criminal police, and local police service were involved in the search for the missing. Volunteers and public organizations also provided assistance.
According to the department, most of the missing left home voluntarily or lost contact with relatives. The police advise citizens to immediately report if the whereabouts of loved ones are unknown.
The search for missing persons in the region is carried out on an ongoing basis. The police department is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
