A landslide of railway track soil occurred in the Mangystau region on the Beyneu – Mangystau section. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident happened on July 16 at 08:04 on the Sayotes – No. 9 siding section. According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy company, the landslide was caused by heavy rainfall.
To ensure the safety of train traffic, temporary single-track movement was organized. There are no casualties, the company said.
A special commission and relevant services have been dispatched to the scene. Currently, the section is being inspected, and necessary work is underway to restore normal train traffic.
