An emergency occurred during military exercises in the Mangystau region, and the death toll among servicemen has reached 12. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The government commission led by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev continues its work at the scene. According to updated information, due to a sharp deterioration in weather and strengthening winds during combat exercises, 17 servicemen were swept into the sea.
Twelve people died, three were rescued, and two more are still being searched for. The Ministry of Defense published the list of the 12 dead.
Kanat Bozumbayev instructed to ensure a round-the-clock continuous search for the missing servicemen, involving all necessary forces and means.
