According to the Ministry of Defense, on September 24, during exercises of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while performing training and combat tasks on the coast of the Caspian Sea, service members were swept out to sea due to a sharp deterioration in weather and strengthening winds.
As a result of the incident, 9 service members died. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
