Photos of the unusual greetings were published on Threads by a woman named Amira. The pictures show her husband meeting her dressed as Rilakkuma bear (a popular Japanese character), No-Face from the anime "Spirited Away," a Tyrannosaurus rex, and even a giant frog.
According to Amira, this tradition has been going on for nearly six years. She met her husband shortly before their wedding: he proposed just three months after they met, and three months later, the couple got married.
In the early years, her husband simply picked her up with a bouquet of flowers after business trips. Over time, he decided to make the greetings even more unusual and started wearing funny costumes.
"I felt joy, surprise, embarrassment, and even was moved to tears at the same time," Amira admitted, recalling the moment she first saw her husband in a bear costume.
According to her, she never asked her husband for flowers or costumes. He came up with this tradition himself so that she would return home with a smile after exhausting business trips, rather than feeling tired.
