The lists of state grant recipients for master's programs for the 2026-2027 academic year will be published on August 24 at 15:00. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The exact time was announced by Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek on his Telegram channel.
"A meeting of the Republican Commission for awarding state educational grants for master's programs for the 2026-2027 academic year was held," Nurbek said.
The results of the competitive selection will appear on the official pages of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, as well as on the information resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The Republican Commission has already completed the review of applicants' applications. Its members included representatives of the ministry, other state bodies, trade unions in the education sector, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, and public organizations. Grants were distributed on a competitive basis in accordance with current rules.
"Admission of future master's students to higher and postgraduate education organizations will last until August 28, 2026, inclusive," the minister reminded.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in 2026, about 23,000 applications were submitted for the competition for state grants for master's programs — 3,000 more than a year earlier. The most popular areas were pedagogical sciences, information and communication technologies, as well as engineering, processing, and construction industries.

State educational grants are distributed on a competitive basis. Applications are reviewed by the Republican Commission, which includes representatives of the ministry, other state bodies, trade unions in education, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, and public organizations.
