Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed in Moscow, the EEC reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A meeting of the joint working group on improving the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union was held at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission, chaired by EEC Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics Daniyar Imanaliyev. The amendment concerns changes to the protocol on the application of sanitary, veterinary-sanitary, and quarantine phytosanitary measures agreed upon by the working group.
The amendment allows the Commission to maintain a register of model veterinary certificates that do not conform to uniform templates but are used for importing regulated goods from third countries into the EAEU territory. The Commission reported that the amendment will be included in the draft "VI Big Protocol" on amending the EAEU Treaty, which is being prepared.
