Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva proposed convening an extraordinary UN Security Council meeting to find diplomatic solutions to conflicts in Ukraine and Iran during a conversation with US leader Donald Trump. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The conversation took place on Friday at Brazil's initiative. According to the press service of the Brazilian leader, the two presidents exchanged views on key global conflicts, especially in Ukraine and the Middle East.

In addition, Trump discussed prospects for resolving the conflict with Iran. Lula da Silva expressed regret over the ineffectiveness of the UN Security Council and proposed convening an extraordinary session of this body to seek diplomatic solutions to current crises.
This proposal is seen as an important step in resolving the situation in Ukraine and ensuring stability in the Middle East. A UN Security Council meeting would allow drawing the international community's attention to these issues.
