Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, hosting the heads of governments of the EAEU countries in Minsk, addressed the situation in Ukraine. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Lukashenko stated that although Minsk has its own peculiarities in assessing the conflict, Belarus will always be with Russia and will never betray.
"Of course, I have my own assessment regarding the conflict in Ukraine. Yes, I have my own opinion on certain aspects of the conflict. But we always follow a common course. If the Russian leadership makes any decision, we will always be with you. Despite some of our peculiarities in understanding what is happening there, we have never betrayed," the Belarusian president said.
Lukashenko noted that he frequently discusses the topic of the conflict in Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Recall that a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is being held in Minsk. It is attended by the heads of governments of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. The Prime Minister of Armenia joined the meeting via video conference.
