In Minsk, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The head of the Kazakh government arrived in Belarus on an official visit to attend a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. During the meeting, Lukashenko addressed mutual cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Lukashenko calls Kazakhstan a partner and friendly country

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, praised relations between the two countries.

"I want to note once again, I have said this openly before: Kazakhstan is a partner and friendly country for us. If Belarus's sectors such as mechanical engineering, agriculture, and high technologies are of interest to Kazakhstan, we are ready to work together in all these areas. Moreover, relations between our countries have been very good since long ago. Under the current president, these relations have not worsened, but on the contrary, have improved," the Belarusian leader said.

Focus on developing cooperation

The president once again noted that relations between the two countries have long been good.

"Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly pays great attention to developing our relations. We often discuss the issue of interconnecting our economies and improving our relations," Lukashenko said.

It is worth noting that Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov arrived in Belarus on an official visit to attend a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. The meeting took place in Minsk.
