Recently, cases of fraud have been occurring during the transportation of vehicles and various cargoes through logistics platforms. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to law enforcement, criminals use services such as "Della" and "Fa-Fa.kz". Most often, advertisements are posted for the delivery of vehicles and cargo from Almaty city and Almaty region to other regions of the country.

After the advertisement is published, fraudsters contact customers and drivers via WhatsApp messenger. They introduce themselves to customers as transport organizers or drivers, and to drivers as cargo owners. Having gained the trust of both parties, they enter into a transportation agreement.

After leaving Almaty, the fraudsters reload the stolen vehicle or cargo onto another vehicle and use it at their discretion. For example, on June 7, a resident of Almaty filed a police report about the theft of his expensive car. Two days earlier, unknown persons had fraudulently taken possession of his car, causing material damage in the amount of 60 million tenge.

Thanks to timely operational search activities, police officers found the stolen car and returned it to its legal owner. Three people were detained on suspicion of committing the crime. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway, and all circumstances of the incident and possible accomplices are being identified.

To prevent such crimes, the Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends that citizens follow safety measures: - carefully check the driver's identity card and vehicle documents; - compare the carrier's phone number with the number indicated in the advertisement; - personally discuss the route and final delivery point in advance; - study reviews about the carrier and driver on the Internet.

If discrepancies in documents or other suspicious circumstances are detected, it is recommended to refuse the carrier's services and immediately report this by calling 102 or contacting the nearest criminal police department.
