Despite the ceasefire and the agreement between the US and Iran, the Israeli army is attacking the Nabatieh province and adjacent areas in southern Lebanon, the Anadolu agency reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Lebanese media report that since nightfall, Israeli aircraft have struck the Beqaa region in the east of the country, as well as the localities of Barish, Shehhur, Upper Nabatieh, Numeiriya, Shawkin, Haboush, Kefrjouz, Arabsalim, Zibdin, Sajid, Mahmudiya, and Deir ez-Zahrani in the Nabatieh province.
According to the latest data, 28 people were affected.
At the same time, the Israeli side accused the Hezbollah movement of striking southern Lebanon despite the US-Iran agreements and the ceasefire regime.
The Israeli army claims that Hezbollah members violated the ceasefire overnight, using 50 rockets and drones against Israeli positions in southern Lebanon, while the strikes on Lebanese territory were a response to these actions.
The report notes that the targets of the night attacks were dozens of rocket launchers, military warehouses, a command center, and facilities linked to Hezbollah members.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Israel and Hezbollah had agreed to a ceasefire. The truce was supposed to come into effect on Friday at 4:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. Astana time).
