The murder trial of Lindsay Clancy has ended in a mistrial after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.

However, in a number of other Western countries, there is a specific law on the books to deal with mothers who kill their young children. This term is known as infanticide and generally applies to the killing of a baby in the first year of their life.
