China's Li Auto has unveiled its flagship i9 electric crossover. The model features four seats with a zero-gravity mode, two electric motors and a range of up to 705 km. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Li Auto calls the i9 the most aerodynamic production crossover in the world: its drag coefficient is 0.215.
Dimensions and manoeuvrability
The vehicle measures 5225×1970×1752 mm, with a wheelbase of 3168 mm. Its minimum turning diameter is 10.6 m. This was achieved thanks to steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering.
The cabin's key feature
The cabin's key feature is four seats with a zero-gravity mode, which can be moved into a rest position simultaneously. The rear seats are full-size and can rotate in two directions.
A table is also provided in the cabin, while equipment includes a 10-litre refrigerator, a 29-speaker audio system, a 29-inch front screen with 6K resolution and a 21-inch rear display with 4K resolution.
Power and performance
The Li Auto i9 is equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. The system's combined output is 400 kW (536 hp), with maximum torque of 660 N·m. The crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
A 101 kWh battery provides up to 705 km on the CLTC cycle. According to the manufacturer, 10 minutes of fast charging can add 500 km of range.
Intelligent systems and safety
The Embodied Intelligence package includes two M100 computing chips with a combined performance of 1280 TOPS and four lidars. The system uses the Mach VLA control model to assist the driver in the city and on highways.
Safety is provided by 11 airbags and a reinforced body structure.
Batteries and price
The first vehicles will get CATL batteries. Li Auto later plans to switch to batteries of its own design, which will be produced by Sunwoda.
In China, the Li Auto i9 costs 369,800 yuan (about 25.2 million tenge). Sales of the model on the Chinese market have already begun. There is no word yet on plans for official deliveries of the i9 to Kazakhstan.
