Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the "Dialogue on Fakes" forum that false information about Russia is being spread. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Lavrov, no one knows where the once-famous Skripals are now, and the UK does not show them to anyone. Information had spread that Russian citizens Sergei and Yulia Skripal were poisoned by Russian intelligence.
"We still demand that UK law enforcement say where they are, and we have received no answer. In reality, London is holding our citizens hostage," he noted.
According to him, information about the "poisoning of Navalny" is also fake. "When he fell ill in 2020, Russia itself did everything to send him to Berlin for treatment," Lavrov said.
In the minister's view, another topic that has become fashionable concerns Russian drones that are allegedly attacking Europe. "However, it is constantly established that it is either not a drone or a Ukrainian drone. And no one is interested in the circumstances," he said.
Russia's foreign minister also specifically addressed the dispute over Bucha. "In 2022, Macron, as a step toward negotiations, asked Russia to withdraw troops from settlements near Kyiv. Two days later, the head of Bucha stated that the Ukrainian side had taken the city under full control. At that time, filming was conducted on the central street, and the street was empty," Lavrov recalled.
According to him, another day later a BBC television crew appeared there and showed a street with the bodies of dozens of people. According to Lavrov, the official list with the names of the dead has still not been published.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously reported that the names of Ukrainian military personnel are written on the memorial in Bucha.
