European countries are trying to undermine the agreements between Russia and the United States on the settlement of the Ukrainian issue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Lavrov made the statement after talks with Chadian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul. "We shared our assessments of the latest events around Ukraine and the latest games of the Europeans, who are trying to undermine the existing agreements between Russia and the United States. However, President Putin has repeatedly emphasized that if the agreements are not fulfilled, we know how to achieve the goals clearly outlined in his speech at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in June 2024," Lavrov said.
Lavrov's statement highlights the complexity of Russia-US negotiations on Ukraine. He also signaled Russia's readiness to continue its special military operation in Ukraine. Earlier, Lavrov said Russia is ready for dialogue with the United States on settling the situation in Ukraine.
According to experts, the actions of European countries may hinder international efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. Undermining the agreements between Russia and the United States could lead to further escalation of tensions in the region.
