The timeline for Kazakhstan's transition to the Latin alphabet has been clarified. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has explained the issue of introducing the Latin script. According to Deputy Chair of the Language Policy Committee Elmira Asan, work is currently underway to improve the Kazakh alphabet and spelling rules based on the Latin script.

Specialists from language institutes and higher education institutions have been involved in this work. Asan stated this at a briefing in the government.
Phased Transition Plan
According to Elmira Asan, a phased plan for transitioning the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin script will be developed after the Latin alphabet and spelling rules are adopted.
