Russian Federation Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratova has announced that a legislative initiative has been developed to grant volunteers working in the special military operation zone and their family members the right to free legal assistance. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Lantratova, the corresponding legislative initiative has been prepared. She wrote about this on her channel on the "Max" platform.
"We have prepared a legislative initiative that allows volunteers serving in the special military operation zone and their family members to receive free legal assistance," Lantratova wrote.
She noted that volunteers in the combat zone, risking their lives, help people by delivering humanitarian aid, repairing houses, and participating in the evacuation of civilians and the wounded.
In addition, Lantratova drew attention to the fact that volunteers and their families often face difficult situations, such as restoring documents or processing payments and compensation after injuries.
