The Kurultai has approved rules for working with parliamentary inquiries that provide for the use of artificial intelligence to automate the preparation of documents and verify the completeness of answers. The decision was adopted by the bureau under the chairmanship of speaker Aibek Dadebai. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
A single regulation for handling inquiries
The rules establish a single and open regulation for working with inquiries at all stages. For automation, the plan is to use the Kurultai's digital analytical tools, including AI technologies. According to the press service, the document is aimed at improving the effectiveness of parliamentary inquiries.
Agenda of the bureau meeting
At the meeting on October 2, the bureau also set the agenda for the upcoming session of the Kurultai. Deputies will consider amendments to the law "On State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan," developed on their initiative in fulfillment of an instruction from the head of state.
The draft law provides for the introduction of the medal "Shamshi Kaldayakov" for special merits in the development of domestic musical art and songwriting, as well as the honorary title "Qazaqstannyn enbek sinirgen suretchisi" for outstanding works in the field of fine arts.
Draft law in the first reading
In the first reading, a draft law will be submitted for consideration on the ratification of a protocol that renews the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia on trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and petroleum products to Kazakhstan dated December 9, 2010, and introduces amendments to it.
Documents in the second reading
In the second reading, deputies will consider the ratification of the intergovernmental agreement between Kazakhstan and Serbia on military-technical cooperation. The document is aimed at establishing and further developing mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of equality.
Council for interaction with maslikhats
Another item on the agenda is the creation of a Council for Interaction with Maslikhats under the first-convocation Kurultai. Its main task will be to ensure the constant participation of maslikhats in the development of laws and feedback on their application locally.
The council will monitor law enforcement practice, identify problems common to the regions and prepare proposals for improving legislation. At the opening of the first session of the Kurultai, the president noted the need for comprehensive consideration and broad discussion of laws affecting the lives of citizens and assigned the council an important role in this work.
