Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has not only become executive producer of the British football drama series 'Day 1s' but will also appear in the project as an actor. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The lead role of football agent Stanley Dalton will be played by renowned British actor Damian Lewis. Filming has already begun at the stadium of Barnet FC in England. Football legend Thierry Henry will also participate in the project. The cast also includes British rapper Dave and actress Carlotta Banat.
According to The Sun, due to the involvement of prominent actors and celebrities, there may be intense competition among major streaming platforms for the series. It is noted that the project is being produced by UR•Marv Studios, founded by Ronaldo together with director Matthew Vaughn.
"This is a new and exciting phase for me. I look forward to the new opportunities opening up before me," Ronaldo said.
