The Ministry of Energy has responded to information about a possible complete halt of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Some media outlets spread information that the CPC's operations could be fully stopped. However, the ministry denied this.
"On July 31, the CPC oil pipeline was temporarily suspended. At the same time, oil intake from shippers and filling of the tank farm continue," the Energy Ministry reported.
Starting from August 1, the volume of oil intake is 100 thousand tons per day. Further increase in oil transportation volumes will depend on the timely supply of tankers for loading at the sea terminal, the ministry said.
The Energy Ministry is in constant interaction with CPC and shippers. The current situation is under constant control.
