Copenhagen's world-renowned Noma restaurant will reopen without founder René Redzepi. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.
Redzepi announced he would "step away" from leading the Copenhagen institution in March following allegations of abuse and assault at the fine-dining restaurant more than a decade ago. During his 23 years at Noma, the restaurant collected numerous international accolades, topping the World's 50 Best Restaurants List five times for its innovative "New Nordic" cuisine.
Ahead of its new season, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, chefs were seen preparing new fish dishes in Noma's kitchen in Copenhagen. Noma's head of R&D Mette Brink Soberg was also shown holding a new berry gazpacho dish topped with flower petals in the restaurant's test kitchen.
The new season of Noma is expected to begin soon.
