Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education is beginning a reboot of the school curriculum. State educational standards, curricula, and programs are being completely revised to bring them in line with the norms of the New Constitution, which came into force on July 1. This was announced by Minister Zuldyz Suleimenova. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the head of the ministry, the ideological and educational component in schools will be significantly strengthened. The programs are incorporating the principles of the unified platform «Adal Azamat», the concept of «Law and Order», and the environmental initiative «Taza Kazakhstan». The main goal is to raise citizens who respect the law, value labor, and understand their responsibility to the country.

Starting from the new academic year, a number of new mandatory subjects will appear in the schedules of Kazakh schoolchildren:

  • 01«Fundamentals of the Constitution» – a course studying the key provisions of the New Constitution.
  • 02«Law and Order» – a subject aimed at forming legal awareness and discipline.
  • 03«Taza Kazakhstan» – a course on environmental culture and nature protection.

Changes will also affect the legal block: the course «Fundamentals of Law», which was previously optional, will now become mandatory for everyone, and its content will be completely rewritten in line with the principles of the updated Basic Law.

The ministry emphasizes that these changes will improve the quality of education and strengthen the legal literacy of young people. The new subjects will be introduced starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.
