Russian citizen Elmira Gorbaeva, who had earlier stated that she was raped by two police officers in Konaev, has retracted her words about their involvement. In a new address, she said she had been misled and thanked the police for the investigation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Gorbaeva published a statement in which she asked to stop the dissemination of her previous video materials.

"I want to refute my previously published statements. The information about the involvement of police officers does not correspond to reality," wrote Elmira Gorbaeva.

In a video address, the Russian woman explained that the people who committed the crime against her introduced themselves as police officers. According to her, it later turned out that one of them was on a criminal wanted list.

She also stated that the police are conducting an objective investigation and promised to provide more details about the situation in a video.

"The police are conducting an objective investigation, for which I express my gratitude. I will tell the whole situation in detail in a video," Gorbaeva said.

Gorbaeva explained her previous statements by a depressed emotional state, panic and lack of reliable information. She also claims that she was influenced by a third person who took advantage of her condition for their own interests.

According to the Russian woman, the people she accuses of the crime have been detained. She apologized to the police for her previous statements and thanked the officers for their work.

"Thank you all for your support! I cannot disclose the details. I ask you to stop disseminating my past video materials," wrote Gorbaeva.
