A modern cardiology center with 50 beds has opened in Konayev, Almaty Region, built by Intermed Plus LLP. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The Ministry of Healthcare announced that the new center will become one of the key specialized medical institutions in the Almaty Region. "A modern Cardiology Center has started operating in Konayev, which will become one of the key specialized medical institutions in the Almaty Region. The new center will significantly increase the accessibility of high-tech medical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases. The project was implemented by Intermed Plus LLP with the support of the Almaty Region akimat and the regional healthcare department," the statement said.

The opening ceremony was attended by Yerzhan Suleimenov, head of the Almaty Region Healthcare Department. The new center has 50 beds and will operate around the clock, providing both planned and emergency medical care to residents of the region.

Departments of interventional cardiology, arrhythmology, and cardiac surgery have been opened here, allowing patients to undergo a full cycle of treatment — from diagnosis to high-tech operations — in one medical facility. The center is equipped with more than 100 units of modern medical equipment, including an angiographic system, devices for electrophysiological studies and radiofrequency ablation, a modern cardiac surgery operating room, a computed tomography scanner, expert-class ultrasound systems, and laboratory equipment.

According to Yerzhan Suleimenov, head of the Almaty Region Healthcare Department, the opening of the center is an important stage in the development of specialized medical care in the region. "Today we are opening a modern cardiology center that will allow residents of the Almaty Region to receive high-tech care without leaving the region. Cardiovascular diseases remain one of the main causes of mortality, so the development of cardiology services is a priority for us. The new center is equipped with advanced equipment and staffed with qualified specialists. I am confident that its work will save thousands of lives and improve the quality of medical care for the population," he said.

The center was built with private investments under a public-private partnership without using budget funds. The sole owner of Intermed Plus LLP is Timur Manashov. He owns the medical centers "Cardiac Surgery Clinic 'Zhurek'" and "Arrhythmology Clinic" in Taraz.

In the 2010s, media reported that Timur Manashov, a lawyer by education and profession and owner of the construction company "Taraz Kurylys Design," opened a private cardiac surgery clinic "Zhurek" in Taraz. His company built educational institutions, administrative and commercial buildings, banks, medical centers, hospitals, and multi-apartment residential complexes. These include, in particular, the regional perinatal center with an area of over 40,000 square meters and the city children's hospital with an area of over 24,000 square meters in Taraz.
