An illegal gold mine collapsed in Colombia, killing 14 people. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The tragedy occurred in the municipality of Santa Bárbara de Iscuandé in the southwest of the country. At the time of the accident, there were about 30 miners in the mine.
Rescuers and local residents pulled people out from under the rubble. Another seven people were injured.
