According to the interim results of the 6th World Nomad Games, Kazakhstan's team ranks first in the overall standings. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
As of September 4, the country's athletes have won 55 medals, including 25 gold, 13 silver, and 17 bronze.
Top three in medal tally
Kyrgyzstan's team is in second place. Kyrgyz athletes have 58 medals: 23 gold, 24 silver, and 11 bronze.
Russia's team (4 gold, 6 silver, and 13 bronze) holds third place.
Achievements of Kazakh athletes
So far, Kazakhstan's representatives have competed in 31 of the 42 sports included in the Games program. Kazakh athletes have won awards in audaryspak, Kazakh wrestling, alish, arm wrestling, sambo, tug of war, traditional archery, horse racing, berkutchi, and other sports.
As the competitions are still ongoing, the teams' positions in the medal standings may change. Kazakh athletes will still compete in 11 sports.

The 6th World Nomad Games involve about 3,000 athletes from 113 countries.
