A teenager was bitten by a snake at Kolsai, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly provided assistance to the snake-bitten teenager.
"On the territory of the Kolsai Lakes in the Almaty region, vacationers approached the employees of the operational rescue squad on duty and reported that a snake had bitten a 16-year-old girl," the statement said.
The rescuers provided first aid to the injured teenager at a universal rescue station. After that, she was taken to a medical facility by service vehicle.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns that snakes are active in warm weather and urges people to take precautions while relaxing in nature: stay on designated trails, do not approach snakes, and do not try to catch them.
In case of a snake bite, you should immediately seek medical help and call 112.
