A fraud case related to the flower business is being investigated in Kokshetau. So far, 17 people have been recognized as victims. The amount of damage caused exceeds 44 million tenge, the Akmola region police department reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to police, in 2025 a 36-year-old woman collected money from citizens under the pretext of helping them participate in a tender. She contacted both acquaintances and strangers for this purpose. The woman promised to return the received funds with a certain percentage. However, she later failed to fulfill her obligations.

For example, one of the victims gave her 4.7 million tenge. During the investigation, it was established that no such tender existed. The received funds were spent on personal needs.

“Currently, 17 victims have been identified in the case. The total material damage caused exceeds 44 million tenge,” the statement says.

Police noted that the number of people affected by the fraud may still increase.
