An unknown person broke into one of Kokshetau's museums at night and damaged technical equipment. Preliminary damage is estimated at about one million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the police department of Akmola region, the incident occurred on the night of September 12. The man broke a window on the basement floor and entered the building. He then reached the room with technical equipment.
Wires, seals, sensors and other elements of the system were damaged there. The heating system was also affected.
"Police have launched an investigation under the article on intentional destruction or damage of another's property. During operational measures, police identified a 32-year-old man. His possible involvement in the incident is currently being checked," the department said.
