Watch: BBC at site of deadly Russian attack on Kyiv flats

Russian forces launched a major drone and missile attack on Kyiv overnight. The city's mayor described it as the "most massive attack" on the Ukrainian capital. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC.

Several neighbourhoods were evacuated as strikes rocked buildings throughout the city, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Russia was preparing an attack.

The BBC's Eastern Europe correspondent, Sarah Rainsford, reports from a nine-storey block of flats in Kyiv that was completely destroyed in the attack.
