Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences has been hit by a Russian drone strike, killing one person and leaving three injured, according to the city's mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.
Footage showed people leaning out of windows as they evacuated the burning building. Firefighters helped people evacuate through the windows as a plume of black smoke billowed out of the building.
The BBC's diplomatic correspondent Paul Adams was at the scene as emergency services attempted to stop the raging fire.
