Kia has introduced a new version of the Carnival minivan, the High Roof, featuring an increased roof height and an even more spacious cabin. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Carscoops.

The new model is aimed at passengers who value comfort on long journeys. Amid the growing popularity of premium minivans, the model could compete with some business sedans and SUVs.

The main feature of the Kia Carnival High Roof is its raised roof, which increases headroom by approximately 27 cm. Kia expects the vehicle to appeal not only to large families but also to corporate clients and VIP transportation companies.

Externally, the minivan is easily recognizable by its taller roof structure, while the rest of the body remains largely unchanged.

Minivans are becoming the new premium. Until recently, large sedans and SUVs were considered status symbols. However, more buyers are now choosing spacious minivans with luxurious interiors. The reason is simple: the second row of such vehicles often offers more space than executive sedans. Additional comfort comes from a higher seating position and sliding doors.

This explains the rising popularity of new models like the Toyota Alphard, Lexus LM, and various VIP versions of Korean minivans. The Carnival High Roof may now join this list.

Kazakhstan motorists are familiar with the model. Currently, the official Carnival is available on the local market in several versions. The base Luxe trim with an eight-seat interior starts at 22 million tenge, while the seven-seat Limousine version costs 29 million tenge.

Interest in large minivans continues to grow in Kazakhstan, making the introduction of an even more comfortable modification a logical step for family and corporate clients.

Earlier, Kurusiv Avto reported that Kia may postpone the new generation Sorento and opt for a facelift instead.
