Fire breaks out at plant in Kentau: transformer oil ignites

Remains of transformer oil caught fire at a pumping station on the territory of one of the plants in Kentau, Turkestan Region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The fire occurred on I. Kozhabayev Street. Emergency Ministry units, volunteers from Aschysai JSC and other services were dispatched to the scene. The source of the fire was located in a detached building of the pumping station.

The department did not specify the cause of the fire or the area of the blaze. The fire was extinguished.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that bitumen caught fire on the territory of an asphalt plant in Satpayev. The fire covered 50 square meters, and no one was injured. The day before, firefighters extinguished a workshop producing plastic products in the Talgar district of Almaty Region. The work was complicated by the rapid spread of fire and the collapse of walls. There were also no injuries.
