The sole shareholder of Kazakhmys Copper has again decided to delist its shares from the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
KASE reported that the shareholder of Kazakhmys Copper, KCC Copper Limited, decided on August 4 to voluntarily delist its common shares from the official KASE list. The exact date of the exit from the exchange is unknown.
It should be noted that this is not the company's first attempt to leave KASE. The delisting was first announced on April 14, but just 10 days later the company canceled the decision.
The suspension of the exit may have been related to the payment of dividends to Kazakhmys Copper shareholders, who received 399.6 billion tenge out of 811.8 billion tenge in net profit for 2025.
Kazakhmys Copper is a company managing copper assets that previously belonged to the Kazakhmys corporation before its sale to Nurlan Artykbaev, owner of the construction company Qazaq Stroy. In January 2025, Qaz Copper Group, part of Kazakhmys Copper's structure, emerged. Qaz Copper Group gathered some of the former Kazakhmys assets, including the Aidarly deposit in the Abai region and the Ozernoye deposit in the Ulytau region.
The sole owner of Kazakhmys Copper is the private company KCC Copper Limited, which belongs to Kazakhmys Holding Limited. The latter's co-owners are entrepreneurs Vladimir Kim (70%) and Eduard Ogay (30%).
