Funds from a special fund will soon begin to be distributed to the families of service members killed and injured during exercises on the Caspian Sea. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
This was stated by Bekmurat Zhusupov, chairman of the public council of the Mangystau region, who heads the commission overseeing the fund.
Required sum already collected
According to Zhusupov, the required sum has already been collected, so the fundraising has officially been completed. Members of the Qazaqstan Halq Keñesi, deputies of the Kurultai, political parties, entrepreneurs, patrons and other Kazakhstanis took part in forming the fund.
"As the head of the special commission, I want to assure that the fair and even distribution of these funds between the families of the deceased and the injured will begin in the very near future. Representatives of state and law enforcement bodies who joined the commission will also monitor the transparency of the entire process," Zhusupov said.
Regular reports on commission work
He promised to regularly report on the commission's work.
"We understand that financial assistance cannot make up for the bitterness of loss. But our duty is to provide families with comprehensive support in this difficult moment. You will not be left alone with your grief," Zhusupov noted.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that the families of the deceased service members were also promised that payments provided for by law would be transferred without delay. Assistance from the special fund will be additional.
