Funeral ceremonies were held in the West Kazakhstan Region for servicemen killed during exercises in the Caspian Sea. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional akimat, condolences were expressed to the relatives and close ones of the fallen soldiers at the mourning gatherings.
The Quran was recited in memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, and memorial ceremonies were held.
"In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, state social payments, material support and comprehensive assistance in organizing the funeral and memorial ceremonies are being provided to the families of the deceased servicemen," the statement says.
The akimat noted that a special fund has been established to collect financial assistance.
"All collected funds will be given to the families of the deceased and the affected in a targeted and transparent manner. This work will be under strict control of state and law enforcement agencies," specialists say.
Recall that during military exercises in the Caspian, due to a sharp deterioration in weather, 17 servicemen went into the sea, 14 of them died, three were rescued.
