The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has stopped receiving oil from Kazakhstan after attacks on tankers. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The report said the terminal's oil storage tanks are full. CPC declined to comment on Sputnik Kazakhstan's inquiry.
Earlier, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned drone attacks on civilian vessels involved in legal oil transportation through CPC infrastructure in the Black Sea on July 17 and 19.
"Of particular concern is the deliberate disregard for the previously agreed mechanism for exchanging information about civilian vessels entering the Black Sea for oil loading at CPC terminals. This endangered the lives and safety of the crews of these civilian vessels," the ministry said.
Loading of Kazakh oil at the CPC terminal had already been temporarily suspended earlier. The Ministry of Energy believes that such attacks on civilian facilities of critical energy infrastructure are unacceptable. The loading berths were not damaged, the ministry added.
Recall that 80% of Kazakhstan's export oil is transported through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium pipeline.
