The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has temporarily stopped oil pumping, the consortium's press service reported to Sputnik Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
They noted that the facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium are ready for operation. Earlier, media citing sources reported that CPC had stopped receiving oil from Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on partner countries to condemn attacks on tankers at the CPC marine terminal. The country's Ministry of Energy also stated that it considers such attacks on facilities that are part of critical energy infrastructure and are purely civilian in nature as unacceptable.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline transports 80% of Kazakhstan's oil exports.
