The remuneration of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) board members for 2025 reached 393.6 million tenge, an increase of 26.8% from the previous year and more than double compared to 2021. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In 2025, the KASE board consisted of eight people. On average, each received about 49.2 million tenge per year, or approximately 4.1 million tenge per month.
A year earlier, the exchange paid 310.5 million tenge to five board members. Despite a 2.4% decrease in total remuneration compared to 2023, per-person payments were higher, averaging 5.2 million tenge per month.
In 2023, six KASE board members received a total of 318.2 million tenge. Compared to the previous year, the amount increased by 50.4%, with average monthly remuneration per executive at 4.4 million tenge.
In 2022, five board members earned 211.6 million tenge, up 13.6% from the previous year. On average, each received about 3.5 million tenge per month.
The lowest payments in the period under review were recorded in 2021, when six KASE board members received a total of 186.3 million tenge, or about 2.6 million tenge per person per month.
Thus, over the past four years, the total remuneration of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange board has more than doubled (by 111.3%) – from 186.3 million to 393.6 million tenge. However, growth was uneven: after a slight decline in 2024, payments accelerated again and reached the highest level for the entire observation period.
According to current data, the average monthly salary in Kazakhstan is 461,500 tenge. Thus, the eight-member KASE board in 2025 received about 853 monthly salaries of an average Kazakhstani, which would take almost 72 years to earn.
In 2025, payments were received by Yeldos Kuanyshbekov, Ainagul Iskakova, Alina Aldambergen, Yermek Mazhekenov, Zhainar Sarzhakov, Dana Amanzholova, Adil Mukhamedzhanov, and Mikhail Grishko.
On March 31, 2025, the powers of KASE Board Chairperson Alina Aldambergen were terminated early. The new head of the exchange became Adil Mukhamedzhanov.
