Czech tennis player Karolina Muchova ended Coco Gauff's run at Wimbledon to reach the final after a dramatic tiebreaker in the women's singles semifinal. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

In London, Muchova won 7-5, 6-7(4), 7-6(5). The third-set tiebreaker went 7-5 in Muchova's favor. This is her first Wimbledon final.

Gauff, ranked No. 2 in the world, hit 11 aces but committed 7 double faults. Muchova had 5 aces and 3 double faults. The match lasted 2 hours and 47 minutes.

Muchova will face world No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland in the final. Swiatek defeated Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinals.

"I am very happy. This is a dream come true," Muchova said after the match. "Coco is a great player, I gave my all to beat her."

Gauff said: "Today was not my day. Karolina played well, I wish her luck in the final."

Muchova's final appearance is her second Grand Slam final after the 2023 French Open, where she lost to Swiatek.
