Jalen Brunson and the Comeback Knicks did it again. And now they're the Champion Knicks. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

For the first time in 53 years, New York rules the NBA. Brunson scored 45 points, including 13 straight for New York in the fourth quarter, and the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday night.

The Knicks won the series 4-1, rallying from double-digit deficits in all four of those victories. The Spurs led by as many as 18 points, but the Knicks dominated the final quarter 31-17.

Brunson's 45 points were a personal best in a Finals game. He also added 4 assists and 3 steals. Other Knicks contributors: Julius Randle had 18 points and 10 rebounds, RJ Barrett scored 15 points.

For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama had 22 points and 12 rebounds, Devin Vassell scored 20 points. But it wasn't enough to prevent San Antonio's defeat.

"We never give up. That's the character of this team," Brunson said after the game. The Knicks rallied from double-digit deficits for the fourth straight time, the longest such streak in NBA Finals history.

New York last won the championship in 1973. This victory is historically significant for the city. Knicks fans are celebrating at Madison Square Garden.

The game was played at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. Next season, the Knicks will try to defend their title.
