Okzhetpes defeated the leading Ordabasy, Kairat thrashed Kaspiy, while Aktobe, Zhetysu and Atyrau secured narrow victories. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Okzhetpes beat Ordabasy
The main result of the day was recorded in Kokshetau. Okzhetpes defeated Ordabasy at home – 2:1, despite conceding first. In the 14th minute, Bjorn Johnsen put the Shymkent side ahead after a pass from Everton. Early in the second half, Nurgaini Buribayev converted a penalty, and in the 82nd minute Leo Assuncao brought the hosts a come-from-behind victory. For Ordabasy, this defeat was their first after four consecutive wins in the championship.
Okzhetpes collected 42 points and drew level with third-placed Astana. However, the capital club has played two matches fewer. Ordabasy remained the leader with 55 points, but their advantage over Kairat has been cut to one point.
Kairat thrash Kaspiy
The Almaty side took advantage of the rival's slip in the rescheduled sixth-round game against Kaspiy. Kairat scored three unanswered goals in Aktau – 3:0. Already in the fourth minute, Olzhas Baibek scored, before the break Edmilson doubled the lead, and in the 61st minute Alexander Mrinsky set the final score.
After the victory, Kairat have 54 points. The reigning champions occupy second place, trailing Ordabasy by one point, with the Almaty side having played one match fewer.
Aktobe and Zhetysu secure narrow wins
Aktobe only edged out Zhenis at home in the closing stages. The winning goal was scored in the 81st minute by Artur Shushenachev after a pass from Yani Atanasov. The Aktobe side collected 38 points and retained fifth place. Zhenis remained eighth with 29 points.
Another narrow victory took place in Taldykorgan. Zhetysu beat Irtysh – 1:0, despite playing the entire second half with a man down. At the end of the first half, Serikzhan Muzhikov received a straight red card. In the 61st minute, Marko Zivanovic scored the only goal of the match. The win allowed Zhetysu to reach 22 points.
Atyrau snatch victory in Petropavlovsk
The last match to finish was in Petropavlovsk. Kyzylzhar and Atyrau could not break the deadlock for a long time, but in the 89th minute Mario Rabiu, after a pass from Arsen Buranchev, brought the visitors a 1:0 win. Atyrau collected 23 points and rose to 11th place, overtaking Kyzylzhar on equal points.
The 25th round continues on September 6. Altai will host Kaisar, Astana will play against Yelimay, and Tobol will face Ulytau.
