"Trump has not abandoned his idea; he has merely suspended it," Katz said. According to him, this plan has not been removed from the agenda and continues to be discussed, including at the present time.
At the same time, the forced displacement of civilian population from occupied territory is prohibited by the Geneva Conventions and constitutes a war crime.
The Palestinian leaders themselves and neighboring Arab countries (Egypt, Jordan) are categorically opposed to any relocation plans, viewing them as an attempt to finally eliminate the Palestinian issue.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Trump proposed renaming the Strait of Hormuz to the "Strait of Trump."
