US President Donald Trump stated that Iran has agreed to never have nuclear weapons. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Trump commented on the memorandum signed between Washington and Tehran to end the war. He said that information about the US allegedly paying Iran $300 billion as part of the deal is false.

"Iran agreed to never have nuclear weapons. Also, the information that the US is paying Iran $300 billion is fake news," the American leader wrote.

US Vice President JD Vance clarified that the signed memorandum is framework in nature. According to him, the document only defines general principles of the future agreement, while specific terms will be negotiated during technical talks.

The preliminary deal has already caused discontent in Israel. Reuters reported, citing sources, that Israeli leadership believes the agreement does not address key Tel Aviv demands, primarily regarding Iran's nuclear program and Tehran's support for armed groups.

One senior Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, called the preliminary agreement "terrible for Israel," noting that virtually the entire leadership shares this view.

According to Reuters, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had hoped that a joint military operation with the US would lead to regime change in Iran and weaken Tehran's position. However, Donald Trump seeks to end the conflict diplomatically as quickly as possible.

The agency noted that disagreements between the leaders emerged even before the memorandum was signed. In early June, Trump during a phone call demanded that Netanyahu refrain from strikes on Beirut while Washington was negotiating with Iran.

Despite this, a week later Israel again struck the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, leading to a new exchange of strikes between Iran and Israel and causing public displeasure from the US president.

According to Israeli officials, negotiations on the final version of the agreement could last longer than the announced 60 days. Tel Aviv fears that during this period Israel will be limited in its ability to conduct new military operations while its demands remain unresolved.
