Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Pakistan on June 23 for an official visit. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

Pezeshkian's plane landed at Islamabad airport, where he was greeted by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The visit is expected to focus on bilateral cooperation, trade and economic ties, and regional security.

The visit comes as US and Iranian teams work to finalize a war-ending deal. The agreement aims to resolve disputes over Iran's nuclear program and reduce tensions in the region.

Pakistan shares a long border with Iran, and while relations have sometimes been strained, both countries have recently sought to strengthen cooperation. Pezeshkian's visit is expected to elevate bilateral ties.

US-Iran negotiations have been ongoing for months. A deal would lead to the lifting of sanctions on Iran and enhance regional stability. However, the exact terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.

Pezeshkian's visit to Pakistan is scheduled to last three days. He will meet with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Several agreements between the two countries may be signed.
