Iran has set a condition for resuming talks with the United States. Tehran will not hold talks with Washington unless Iran's conditions are accepted. This was stated by the head of the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy committee, Ebrahim Azizi. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"There will be no talks. Unless Iran's conditions are accepted, there is no point in holding talks," Azizi wrote on his official X social media page.
Earlier, on the night of June 18, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum envisaging an end to the conflict that began on February 28. However, in July, US forces carried out several strikes on Iranian territory.
The US Central Command stated that this action was taken in response to Iranian attacks on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. By Trump's order, US forces are carrying out new strikes on Iran.
