Participants paid tribute to the victims and laid flowers at the memorial. Thousands attended the event at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, killing tens of thousands of people. The event remains one of the most tragic chapters in human history.
