The Ministry of National Economy has published its statistical report. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Inflation slowed
In September of this year, annual inflation slowed to 9.3%. The reason is a slowdown in food price growth.
For example, last month food products fell 0.1% in monthly terms. Deflation has been observed for the second month in a row. Annual food inflation slowed to 8.5%. Prices for other goods and paid services remain stable.
Incomes rose
"Amid the slowdown in inflationary processes, in the second quarter of 2026 the real monetary incomes of the population rose 0.7%. A further decline in inflation will reduce the impact of price growth on the population's incomes," the official statement says.
Government priorities
Today, one of the main tasks of the government's work is raising the well-being of the population. To this end, measures are envisaged to curb inflation, stabilize prices, raise wages, including a phased increase in the minimum wage, create new and quality jobs, raise labor productivity, support entrepreneurship and develop high value-added sectors.
