A man suspected of multiple frauds and wanted internationally has been brought from Turkey to Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The wanted man was detained in Samsun, Turkey, at the request of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"The suspect, between September and December 2024, using information systems and his Instagram account, fraudulently obtained over three million tenge from two residents of Atyrau," police said.
The suspect was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility of the Almaty City Police Department.
It is noteworthy that earlier this year, he conducted his own "investigation" into the disappearance of a family in the Atyrau region. He claimed to determine the location of missing persons using geolocation, SIM card data, and financial transactions. Later, police reported that the "hacker" had only disclosed information already available to investigative authorities.
